ISTH Legacy Fund Terms and Conditions

  • The grant is to support you to attend conferences, educational meetings, courses or events featuring content related to haemostasis and thrombosis to promote your research and develop your career goals.

  • You are fully responsible for the appropriate use of the grant in terms of your conduct, travel arrangements, and conference attendance. You are required to inform us if the grant will not utilised according to the initial plan and arrangements.

  • You should be aware that the maximum funding amount is final, and HaemSTAR will not provide anything in excess of this amount.

  • Grant funding will usually be awarded following the event upon receipt of proof of attendance and expenses incurred. If attending the conference or meeting is made difficult as a result of this arrangement, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate an alternative approach.

  • Post event, you will be requested to submit a grant claim with relevant receipts and confirmation of event attendance (such as a badge).

  • You are responsible for ensuring the information you supply is correct and up-to-date. Should you provide fraudulent information, your application may be invalidated.

  • In case of availability of alternative funding, you understand that you should not seek reimbursement for the same expenses from multiple sources. We have the right to ask for refunding of the grant if we feel it has been used inappropriately.

  • Expenses should meet the 'reasonable costs' stipulation. However, under exceptional circumstances, we may evaluate expenses that go beyond the established cost criteria.

  • You understand that you will support promotion of HaemSTAR at the event if requested.

  • You are required to write a short blog for HaemSTAR describing what the fund allowed you to achieve. This should be submitted within 60 days of the event.

We will proofread and make any minor grammar or spelling corrections as required. We will contact you for approval if edits beyond minor corrections are required.
