Lay Summary

Care for people with haemophilia B who need surgery varies across the UK. This project will review how bleeding is currently prevented and managed during surgery in patients with haemophilia B, and compare practice with international guidelines. By sharing the results with hospitals and clinicians, the project aims to highlight differences in care, support improvements in surgical pathways, and help ensure patients receive safe, consistent treatment when undergoing surgery.
