Digital & Data Working Group

Welcome to the HaemStar Digital & Data Working Group.

This working group is a little different from other HaemStar work. While HaemStar projects typically focus on specific subspecialties, this group spans the full breadth of haematology that is both general haematology and haemato-oncology, with a shared focus on digital innovation.

We bring together clinicians, researchers, data scientists, academics, software developers, and industry partners who are interested in AI, data, and digital innovation for the advancement of haematology.

What We Do

Push the digital boundaries of haematology

We support projects across all areas of haematology whose aims are to advance the field through digital innovation. Covering all areas from AI and machine learning to data infrastructure and digital diagnostics. We will help run these projects as well as provide publicity as needed.

Educate and share

We aim to educate the wider haematology community on aspects of innovation and encourage open sharing of lessons learned in the adoption of new technologies.

Connect people

We facilitate collaboration between clinicians, researchers, data scientists, academics, digital leaders, software developers, and industry. Aiming to create connections that wouldn't otherwise happen given the diversity of roles and working environments.

Encourage broad participation

We welcome interest and involvement from all clinicians, regardless of subspecialty or level of digital experience. You don't need to be a data expert to get involved.

Support national data collaboration

We facilitate national collaboration with the development of datasets of sufficient scale to enable meaningful research to be conducted in rare haematological conditions where single-centre data is often insufficient.
