ISTH 2026

November 07, 2026 by HaemStar Admin

I am very grateful to HaemSTAR for supporting my attendance at the ISTH Congress 2026 in Paris. As someone at a very early stage of my career with a strong interest in haematology, particularly thrombosis and haemostasis, attending the congress was an informatice experience and helped to strengthen my commitment to pursuing a career in haematology.

There were several talks and workshops that were particularly relevant to my level of training. For example, sessions on the investigation and management of bleeding disorders provided practical frameworks that were applicable to haematologists and generalist. These sessions were relevant and tailored my level as a junior doctor.

It was also a privilege to attend informal meetings involving ISTH Scientific and Standardization Committees where we discussed potential projects and collaborations. This gave me my first insight into how international collaborative projects are developed.

Finally, I greatly appreciated the networking opportunities provided by through the congress. I was able to meet several experts in the field with whom I hope to collaborate in the future. Meeting them in person at this stage of my career was an invaluable opportunity to begin building those professional relationships. I am therefore grateful to HaemSTAR for making my attendance possible.
